Breaking Up With The Birthday Blues

Infertility and birthdays do not mix well.

If you are facing infertility, your birthday just reminds you of your declining fertility. And that another year has gone by and you are still not a mother. I have had some dark birthdays over the years.

Of course any chance at fertility was wiped away with one surgery for me.

And now I am a mother!

So, I guess it's time to officially break up with the birthday blues.

Birthdays still make me feel a little uneasy.

But, when I came on the computer this morning, I found so much love on Facebook and Twitter.

Adam hung up a cute Happy Birthday sign for me in the living room.

I get to look at this face all day:

And I get cookie cake tonight!

So, yes, I am breaking up with the birthday blues.

  1. Happy birthday!! Hope you and that gorgeous face have an amazing day and a yummy cookie cake!

Mine's on Monday and I still have a wicked case of the blues. Despite adopting the most amazing little girl, I still hate that whole recognition of declining fertility thing.

I just wrote a birthday post too (although a much much more depressing one). I like yours better!
