Party Preparations: Monthly Pictures Display

I knew I wanted to display all of Jayden's monthly pictures at his party. I had a few ideas on how to do it, but when I came across little pots at a craft store, I decided to do this:

I bought little pots and added months to each one.

I also bought these little cubes with a photo holder that fit perfectly into the pots.

I added spanish moss to the pots to cover the cube part and make it look like grass. (I also hired a cat model.)

I did a pot for each month from birth to 11 months.

  1. These look GREAT! I love the flower pots and what a great idea to use the little cube clips. I think mine will be used to hold signs on the food table. I'm working on a photo display too-- Since L has a goldfish themed party, I bought a fishing net which will hang on the wall. I bought mini clothes pins, painted them teal, then attached a fish to each one-- each fish has a number 1-12- -so the fish will look like they're swimming in the net.

Can't wait for more updates as you finish up stuff for the party.

    1. I got them at Michaels! They just happened to be in the dollar bins when I went so that's how this idea was born.

    2. I was just thinking-- you could put small rocks in the pots and attach the pictures to sticks. The sticks should stand up well when put in the rocks.
