Vegetable Garden

Our vegetable garden is already looking a lot better than last year. All we got last year was a  handful of tomatoes. Everything else either died or was eaten by chipmunks. (I am using chipmunk repelent this year.) I put a lot of work into the garden so I really hope we get vegetables this year.

I had a pretty good adoption/gardening analogy in my head, but then I spent two hours outside with the kids and it's 92 degrees my brain isn't working. All I can think about is how I would do anything for a nap right now.

Here are the pictures of our garden:

This cucumber plant is getting very long!

Green Bell Pepper

  1. Beautiful garden. Crossing my fingers for some nice, yummy veggies this year!

  2. "All I can think about is how I would do anything for a nap right now." Sounds like your garden is already preparing you for new motherhood!

I'm very curious about what excactly chipmunk repellant is...

  3. Wow these look awesome! Nice work growing!

  4. beautiful garden! can't wait to hear about the yummy veggies coming out of it :)

  5. It looks great! I am very impressed!

  6. Those vegetables are looking pretty good - although I suspect the eggplant and pepper could use some feeding. :-) Good luck with it all- a great start!

And yeah, I do a lot of gardening and my partner is a heirloom gardening expert who brought some 600 packs of veg seeds with her when we got together. ;-) The veg part of my websites are here if you're interested.

  7. Gotta say - I'm jealous! I've been planning on doing my gardening for awhile now. Had peppers last year. Got nothing going yet this year. Maybe this will give me that kick in the butt I need! :)

  8. YUM!! Love veggies. that's what i miss the most about living in the country!
