Father's Day

I am thinking of Adam today and wishing he was celebrating his first Father's Day.

Sometimes I feel guilty because if he married someone else, he would have a family by now.

He is going to be an amazing father.

  1. Love to both of you guys. Adam will be a great father, and you will be a great mother.

  3. Happy future Father's Day to Adam. We went through the same feelings yesterday. Thinking of you and hoping you get to celebrate this day next year.

  4. I was thinking the same thing about my husband yesterday. I hope yesterday was Adam's last non-father Father's Day!

  5. I can only imagine. Don't ever feel guilty though, just think if Adam didn't marry you he probably wouldn't appreciate the certain things in life that have come from this experience. Sounds like you have each been a great influence for each other!

this is so pure and heart felt.
thank you for writing these really big thoughts.
i think father's day and mother's day should be banned.
    truly.
they are not fair to people trying to have a baby or people who can not have a baby or children who have lost a parent or both.
    what do you say reader-girls?
    wanna start a revolution?!

  9. I think the guilt we feel towards our partners is one of the hardest things about ALI. I know I struggle with it a lot, the feeling that my partner would be better off with a woman not prone to loss. But I have to remind myself that I would never hold it against my partner if the shoe was on the other foot.
I sincerely hope that next Fathers Day Adam has a little baby of his own to hold and share the day with :)
